AI + local together

Your normal expansion workflow stays in the browser. When you choose an AI action, the relevant snippet text and instruction are sent through ToolzyLab's PHP endpoint to the configured AI service. Do not submit confidential text.

Practical smart actions

Generate complete snippets from an idea, rewrite existing text into a better tone, suggest shorter triggers, and detect placeholders automatically.

Still easy to deploy

The frontend is one page and the backend is one PHP file, so it fits nicely on Hostinger-style shared hosting.

Reusable snippets with explicit variables and local storage

Create shortcuts for repeated text while keeping variables, tone, status, and sensitive content under review

A text expander can speed up replies, signatures, prompts, addresses, and support phrases by replacing a trigger with a saved snippet. Define a unique trigger, title, tag, status, body, and variables, then test expansion with realistic values and avoid storing passwords, tokens, private records, or copy that should be personalized by a professional.

Trigger design

Shortcuts should be memorable without colliding with ordinary typing

Use a distinctive prefix or pattern and keep naming consistent across categories. A common word can expand unexpectedly, while nearly identical triggers create selection mistakes. Enabled and disabled status should be visible, and duplicate triggers should be resolved before import or sharing.

Variables

Placeholders turn a snippet into a template but require validation before sending

Name, email, company, date, time, and custom values can personalize output. Check missing, stale, or wrongly mapped variables and inspect grammar after replacement. A date token uses the browser's locale and time unless the workflow explicitly sets another convention.

Content governance

Reusable copy can repeat errors, outdated policy, or inappropriate tone at scale

Review legal, medical, financial, HR, support, and contractual text with the responsible owner. Generated or rewritten suggestions are drafts. Store the collection locally only when content sensitivity allows it, and treat exported JSON as readable data that needs protection.

Practical review

Snippet expansion review

Expand every template with sample values and read the final message before operational use.

  • Use distinctive triggers and resolve duplicates or accidental ordinary words.
  • Test every variable, missing-value state, date, time, punctuation, and line break.
  • Review tone, names, links, prices, policy, and regulated wording before sending.
  • Exclude passwords, tokens, private records, and secrets from local snippets and exports.
  • Version and periodically review frequently used templates for accuracy.
Text expansion questions

Triggers, variables, dates, rewriting, local data, import, and template review

What makes a good text-expander trigger?

Use a short memorable pattern unlikely to appear in normal typing, often with a consistent prefix. Avoid duplicate or easily confused triggers.

What happens when a variable has no value?

The output may retain the placeholder or become incomplete depending on the implementation. Fill and review every required variable before copying.

Are date and time variables fixed?

They are generated from the current browser context or supplied override. Confirm locale, time zone, and required format for the recipient.

Can rewritten snippets be sent without review?

No. Tone suggestions can change facts, commitments, or nuance. Read names, links, dates, policy, and regulated statements before use.

Where are text-expander snippets stored?

The page is designed for browser-local data and JSON import or export. Local storage is convenient but not an encrypted secrets vault.

How should imported snippets be checked?

Inspect source, trigger collisions, enabled status, variables, links, sensitive data, and wording before merging them into the collection.
